Mia B. Ouchna is a senior illustration student at Maryland Institute College of Art, and is based in Baltimore and Northern Virginia. Pursuing her degree in illustration, she has learned to value every aspect of the artistic process, particularly the planning and polishing phases. Her work focuses on portraiture and illustrative brand design, and she enjoys the challenge of a very niche request.

Mia uses media such as watercolor, ink, colored pencils, and digital tools all together to support her artistic vision. Her process is streamlined and to the point, with focus on refining a final piece of art.

Mia’s influences include film, television, food illustration, and portraiture. She is especially interested in work related to film, and takes a broad approach to her work, drawing inspiration from her eclectic interests. Mia’s works have been featured in nine exhibitions, as well as published in local magazines and publications.
